In every community there is an important number of students enjoying inclusive education. These students who were recognised as having learning needs at the beginning of their education show slower development according to their levels. This can cause problems in a mixed classroom including low success rates, absenteeism and behavioural problems in the class.
Those with learning needs process information and learn at a slower rate compared to their peers. It is necessary to give them information differently and work on their abilities to become autonomous individuals who will be able to survive and even thrive in the community. For this purpose, new e-learning tecniques should be improved and carried out to help them learn and provide a chance to put their knowledge into practice differently from other students. In this project, good examples of objects will be shared by the partners, and new e-learning materials will be produced for inclusive education students in different countries.
Pupils in inclusive education, according to general education policy, share the same classroom environment and curriculum as the other students. Those with learning needs process information slower compared to their peers and so must be supported to enable them to enjoy learning the same topic in the same classes, labs or workshops. Nowadays, e-learning materials in education are used extensively to enable differentiation of learning according to individual needs.
In this project we want to bring out and share the good examples of e-learning resources used in different schools and countries among the partner organisations. By exploiting these good examples, we will produce new e-learning objects, mainly oriented to vocational training.
In order to achive this target, the project will perform an initial questionnaire addressed to students and teachers. Based on the results of the survey on the use of e-learning in situations of students with learning dificulties, a SWOT analysis will be produced. Based on this input and on the examples of good practice collected during the first year of the project, a number of e-learning materials will be produced. These will mainly be in the resources which can be adapted according to the situation, i.e. for each student, teacher or subject learned.
